You have journeyed for days along the coast, searching for the entrance to the lost shrine of the sea kings. You were certain your map was not in error, and indeed the land markers your cartographer sighted from ship confirmed that this had to be the correct area. The ship could only get so close to the shoals, and eventually you were forced to make land more than a mile up the coast and then skirt the rocky cliff face on foot to find the entrance. You almost missed it – in fact, you had been over this section of coast twice, and had dismissed this part as impassable due to the sharp rocks and coral.
That evening making camp, you had a stroke of luck. Both moons were in alignment that night, and the resulting double tide sweeping out to sea revealed a narrow path along the cliff, leading precariously to the hidden cave entrance . . .
The entrance to the shrine of the sea kings, besides being hidden so cleverly, is also guarded by two iron warrior statues that will defend the doors should anyone be unsuccessful at opening them. The doors have a large ornate lock on the outside that requires no key. Either the sequence for opening the lock must be determined, or a devoted member of the sea kings carrying the Brooch of Titian must open the door. The pathway to the doors will remain visible for only 1 hour, after which the crashing tide will become a constant threat, possibly pulling anyone on the doorstep out to sea, and smashing them against the rocky shoals.
